COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 20, 2024) – More than 520 teams and 17,000 attendees are set to be part of the 2024 Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC) 11-13s this week at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
The age group championships continue to grow in numbers and scope. Last year marked the first time USA Volleyball split the event strictly for 11-13s age group. This year’s tournament, in addition to featuring more than 80 additional teams, will also include exhibition Patriot divisions for 10s with 15 teams registered this year.
The 10s and 11s divisions will be held June 21-23 with the 12s and 13s taking place June 21-24. The GJNC 11-13s is being run in cooperation with Dallas Sports Commission and the Lone Star Region of USA Volleyball.
The Girls Junior National Championship 14-17s will take place July 3-11 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The 11s age group has just one division (National), while 12s will compete in the National, USA, and American divisions in addition to an exhibition Patriot division. The 13s will compete at the Open, National, USA, Liberty, American and Patriot divisions.
All teams except those in the Patriot Division qualified through USA Volleyball national or regional qualifying tournaments held across the country, or through at-large selections based on results at qualifying tournaments.
One theme day is planned for Saturday, June 22, when athletes and spectators are encouraged to be festive and dress up in their favorite country chic outfit.
Doors will open at 7 a.m. for competition.
Matches will be streamed live via subscription on BallerTV.com, or four courts will be streamed for free on the USA Volleyball event website.
