COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 18, 2016) – A total of 112 teams from six countries are set to compete in the 2016 USA Volleyball Indoor High Performance Championships from July 19-23 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The 17th annual tournament returns to Fort Lauderdale for the second time since 2013, and will see teams compete in eight divisions: U20 Girls’, Boys’ International Youth, Boys’ National Youth, Boys’ Regional Youth, Girls’ International Youth, Girls’ National Select, Girls’ National Youth and Women’s International Junior.
Along with the highly-anticipated Opening Ceremony, competition begins Tuesday at the Broward County Convention Center and concludes Saturday.
The tournament features many of the top players from the USA Volleyball High Performance pipeline, USA Volleyball Region High Performance teams, as well as the 2016 Women’s Junior National Team and Girls’ Youth National Team.
Of USA Volleyball’s 40 regions, 18 regions have at least one team playing. This year’s international teams come from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
This year’s tournament is co-hosted with the Joseph Volleyball Camps and the Broward County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
