COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 28, 2025) – Sportswomen of Colorado has named U.S. Women’s National Team setter Jordyn Poulter as its Sportswomen of the Year for Pro Volleyball.
This is the 51st year that Sportswomen of Colorado has celebrated the achievements of girls and women in sports across the state, and honorees will be recognized at an awards presentation on March 9 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. Sportswomen of Colorado named recipients in 33 categories, and an overall Sportswomen of the Year will be chosen from that field at the March ceremony. Visit the organization’s website for a full list of honorees.
Poulter earned the award in the Pro Volleyball category after an exceptional comeback year with the U.S. Women’s National Team. After missing all of 2023 with a knee injury, she returned in 2024 to help lead the U.S. Women to a silver medal at the Paris Olympic Games.
Sportswomen of Colorado also honored two other volleyball players with ties to USA Volleyball. Nebraska sophomore middle blocker Andi Jackson was named Sportswoman of Colorado for College Volleyball, and Valor Christian HS senior setter Chloe Elarton earned the nod in high school volleyball.
Jackson was a member of the 2024 U.S. Women’s U21 National Team and the 2022 U.S. Girls U19 National Team, while Elarton is a USA Volleyball National Team Development Program athlete.
