MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. (July 28, 2018) – Up-and-coming junior beach volleyball teams will be on the sand in Manhattan Beach on July 30-Aug. 1 for the USA Volleyball Beach High Performance Championships.

Athletes ages 12-18 will compete against the top competitors in their age group from the United States and other countries.

Matches will be live streamed on the USAV Watch Page starting Monday morning at 10 a.m. PT.

The tournament is set to start on Monday with a qualifier into the main draw brackets, which will play Tuesday and Wednesday.

Results will be posted to BracketPal.

Among those expected to compete are members of the U.S. Beach Junior National Team, who recently completed competition at the FIVB U19 World Championships in China.

In that group is Devon Newberry of Santa Monica, Calif., and Lindsey Sparks of Huntington Beach, Calif. The pair finished fourth at the U19 World Championships and will compete in the Youth Olympic Games on Oct. 6-18 in Argentina.

Both Newberry and Sparks are headed to UCLA. Sparks will start this fall while Newberry is verbally committed for 2019.
