COLORADO SPRINGS (Feb. 22, 2017)Thomas Jaeschke (Wheaton, Ill.), who plays outside hitter for the U.S. Men’s National Team, has played his last two matches at opposite for his Polish league team Asseco Resovia Rzeszow.

On Feb. 14, Jaeschke played opposite in a Champions League match. On Feb. 18, Jaeschke played opposite as Rzeszow fell to Jastrzębski Węgiel, 25-21, 15-25, 26-24, 25-20. Jaeschke scored 13 points on 10 kills, one block and two aces.

POLAND

Middle blocker David Smith (Saugus, Calif.), libero Dustin Watten (Long Beach, Calif.) and Cerrad Czarni Radom beat Espadon Szczecin, 25-12, 25-20, 22-25, 23-25, 15-9 on Feb. 17. Smith scored eight points on six kills, one block and one ace. Watten was credited with 17 receptions, 47 percent positive. On Feb. 22, Radom fell to PGE Skra Belchatow, 16-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 15-10. Smith scored 11 points on seven kills and four blocks. Watten was credited with 19 receptions, 37 percent positive.

Setter Jonah Seif (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) and MKS Będzin fell to Luczniczka Bydgoszcz, 17-25, 25-19, 25-22, 14-25, 15-13 on Feb. 17. Seif started the first-third and fifth sets. He scored eight points on five kills and three blocks. He helped set the team to a .339 hitting efficiency. Outside hitter Kyle Russell (Loomis, Calif.) played as a substitute. On Feb. 22, Bedzin lost to Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, 24-26, 19-25, 25-13, 25-13, 15-9 on Feb. 22. Seif scored two points on two kills and set the team to a .275 hitting efficiency. Russell played as a substitute and scored a point on a kill.

RUSSIA

Libero Erik Shoji (Honolulu, Hawaii), setter Kawika Shoji (Honolulu) and Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Orenburg, 25-22, 25-19, 25-16 on Feb. 19. Kawika Shoji set Novosibirsk to a .311 hitting efficiency. Erik Shoji was credited with six receptions, 100 percent positive.

Matt Anderson (West Seneca, N.Y.), who plays outside hitter for Zenit Kazan, and his team beat Dinamo Moscow, 22-25, 25-16, 25-23, 26-24 on Feb. 19. Anderson scored nine points on seven kills and two blocks. He was credited with 16 receptions, 50 percent positive.

ITALY

Micah Christenson (Honolulu, Hawaii) and Cucine Lube Civitanova beat Cazedonia Verona, 25-21, 25-17, 16-25, 23-25, 15-6 on Feb. 19. Christenson scored seven points on a match-high five points, one kill and one ace. He set Civitanova to a .431 hitting efficiency.

Outside hitter Aaron Russell (Ellicott City, Md.) and Sir Safety Conad Perugia beat Top Volley Latina, 25-18, 25-17, 25-27, 25-23 on Feb. 19. Russell scored 18 points on a match-high four aces and 14 kills. He was credited with 21 receptions, 43 percent positive. On Feb. 22, Perugia beat Revivre Milano, 25-17, 25-17, 25-23. Russell scored 10 points on nine kills and one ace. He was credited with three receptions, 33 percent positive.

Middle blocker Max Holt (Cincinnati) returned to the lineup after suffering an ankle injury during Champions League play, but Azimut Modena fell to Diatec Trentino, 25-23, 27-25, 25-18. Holt scored five points on five kills.

Setter James Shaw (Woodside, Calif.), middle blocker Taylor Averill (San Jose, Calif.) and Kioene Padova fell to LPR Piacenza, 21-25, 25-14, 25-21, 22-25, 15-11 on Feb. 19. Shaw scored seven points on four kills and three blocks. He set the team to a .374 hitting efficiency. Averill started the first three sets and scored four points on three kills and one block. On Feb. 22, Cazedonia Verona beat Padova, 25-15, 25-19, 25-20. Shaw started the first two sets and scored one point on one block. He helped set the team to a .449 hitting efficiency.

GREECE

Outside hitter Greg Petty (Downers Grove, Ill.) and Pamvohaikos beat AO Foinikas Sirou, 22-25, 25-19, 27-25, 20-25, 15-12 on Feb. 18. Petty scored 20 points on 16 kills and four aces. He was credited with 42 receptions, 52 percent positive.

FRANCE

Middle blocker Dan McDonnell (Glendale, Ariz.)  and Chaumont fell to Montpellier, 24-26, 25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 15-11 on Feb. 18. McDonnell scored nine points on six kills and three blocks.

GERMANY

SVG Luneburg, including Americans Michael Brinkley, Scott Kevorken, Cody Kessel and Eric Fitterer, defeated TSV Herrsching, 22-25, 30-28, 25-13, 25-17 on Feb. 18. Outside hitter Kessel (Colorado Springs, Colo.) led the team’s scoring with 14 points on 11 kills, two blocks and one ace. He was credited with 28 receptions, 36 percent positive. At opposite, Fitterer (Edwardsville, Ill.) added 13 points on 10 kills and two blocks. Middle blocker Kevorken (Westlake Village, Calif.) scored 11 points on seven kills, three blocks and one ace.
