COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 11, 2017) – U.S. Men’s Sitting Volleyball Head Coach Greg Walker was named to the AVCA’s 2017 Thirty Under 30 Awards list.

Walker helped the Men’s Sitting Team to the silver medal at the 2015 ParaPan American Games and led the team at the 2016 Paralympic Games.

When he is not working with the Men’s Sitting Team, Walker, 29, is the head coach of Sacred Heart University’s men’s volleyball team and an assistant coach for its women’s team.

“I am honored to be receiving this award from the AVCA and by my peers,” Walker told the AVCA.

“I strongly believe awards such as these are credit to the athletes that have believed and confided in me over the years, the coaches I have been privileged to work beside, my mentors that invest time in me and administrators that have supported my vision of the programs and commit to the well being of our athletes. It is a real blessing and humbling.”
