COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (January 26, 2023) – Girls 18s club teams from around the country will be in Utah on January 27-29 for the Salt Lake City Showdown Girls 18s National Qualifier at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
One-hundred teams are registered for the event, a qualifier for the Girls 18s National Championship on April 28-30 in Columbus, Ohio. Teams will compete in the American, Liberty, Open and USA divisions.
The Salt Lake City Showdown Qualifier debuted in 2022 and won Sports Travel Magazine’s “Best New Event” Award. This is the first year that the qualifier for 18s teams has split from the other age groups. The event is still expected to bring close to 2,000 athletes, coaches, family and friends to Salt Lake City.
The Salt Lake City Showdown Qualifier for other age groups will be April 8-10 (for 11-12s and 16-17s) and April 14-16 (13-15s). Registration for these events is open now at go.usav.org/23slc.
