
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 21, 2025) – Many of the nation’s top young volleyball talent will converge at the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) Boys Indoor Spring Training Series, running Feb. 27–March 2. Nearly 150 athletes will train under elite coaches, refining their skills and training at the highest level.
The training groups will be divided into U15/U16 (53 athletes), U17-U19 (75 athletes) and U20 (20 athletes).
Two associate head coaches from the powerhouse University of Texas women’s volleyball program will be part of the coaching staff. David Hunt will lead the U15/U16 group, and former Canadian Men’s National Team coach Ben Josephson, who joined Texas on Feb. 13, will oversee the U20 group. Jonah Carson, assistant coach for the 2024-25 Boys U19 National Team, will guide the U17-U19 athletes.
The Colorado Springs Training Series athletes represent 26 USA Volleyball regions and 22 states.
The USA Volleyball Regions represented are Aloha, Arizona, Badger, Carolina, Chesapeake, Columbia Empire, Florida, Garden Empire, Gateway, Great Lakes, Gulf Coast, Hoosier, Intermountain, Keystone, Lone Star, New England, Northern California, North Texas, Ohio Valley, Old Dominion, Palmetto, Puget Sound, Rocky Mountain, Southern, Southern California, and Western Empire.
Selections for the Spring Training Series were made through the Indoor NTDP Scouting Network, which identifies top talent through recommendations from a nationwide network of coaches and experts.
All training series are led by top indoor NTDP coaches from colleges and clubs, and emphasize the five pillars of NTDP: Craft, Mind, Body, Heart and Team.
