COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 25, 2019) – USA Volleyball has determined the 12 players who will compete in men’s volleyball at the World University Games on July 3-14 in Napoli, Italy.

Outside hitters on the team are Ethan Siegfried (Long Beach State), Raymond Barsemian (Concordia Irvine), Brett Wildman (Penn State) and Parker Dixon (Princeton).

Middle blockers are Tyler Mitchem (Lewis), Kyler Presho (Stanford) and Blake Leeson (Ohio State).

Setters are Garrett Zolg (Loyola Chicago) and Chandler Gibb (Concordia Irvine). The opposites are Jaylen Jasper (Stanford) and Brandon Rattray (UCLA) and the libero is Michael Simmons (Lewis).

Lewis University has three players on the roster, UCLA, Stanford and Concordia University Irvine each have two players and Penn State, Loyola of Chicago and Ohio State each have one.

The team will be coached by Ryan Perrotte, men’s head coach at Purdue Fort Wayne, with assistance from Morteza Shiari, assistant coach for the Beach Elite Volleyball Club in Huntington Beach, Calif.

“It is truly an honor and a privilege to be selected as head coach of Team USA at the World University Games competition this summer in Napoli, Italy,” Perrotte said. “I am so excited to coach these talented young men, many of whom I know from coaching against or following their collegiate careers.”
