Avery Junk, Addison Junk, Malachi Brewington, and Titus Lance to represent USA Volleyball in San Salvador Oct. 16–18
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Thursday, October 8, 2026) — USA Volleyball today announced that its Beach U23 National Team is set to compete in the 2026 U23 NORCECA Continental Tour, which brings together the top national beach volleyball teams from across North, Central America, and the Caribbean to compete at the highest regional level. The 2026 U23 NORCECA Continental Tour will take place Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 18, 2026, in San Salvador, El Salvador. Match schedules for the tournament will be announced at a later date.
Representing USA Volleyball on the sand, both Main Draw pairs carry momentum from strong 2025 international campaigns. On the women’s side, sisters Avery Junk and Addison Junk headline the Main Draw team under the leadership of USA Volleyball Women’s Head Coach, Mike Dodd, a 1996 Olympic Silver Medalist, International Volleyball Hall of Famer, and coach with MB Sand Beach Volleyball Club. The Junk sisters build on a stellar international season where they won silver at the 2025 Girl’s FIVB U18 World Championships in an all-American final.
“Avery and Addison Junk are always prepared for battle and always give 110% effort…a coach’s dream,” said Mike Dodd, USA Volleyball Women’s Head Coach.
In the men’s Main Draw, Malachi Brewington and Titus Lance pair up under USA Volleyball Men’s Head Coach Hudson Bates, a 10-year AVP Tour veteran, former U.S. National Team player, and Beach Director at Elite Volleyball Training Center. After winning gold together in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic, the duo earned their spot at the 2025 FIVB U21 World Championship in Puebla, Mexico, where they tied for fifth place with an impressive 4-1 match record.
“This is a men’s team with enough experience, physicality, and IQ to put together a championship run at this tournament,” said Hudson Bates, USA Volleyball Men’s Head Coach. “We’ve already discussed some game plans and goals for the week, and we’re excited to get down there and compete with ‘USA’ on our chest!”
In addition to USA Volleyball Women’s Head Coach Mike Dodd and USA Volleyball Men’s Head Coach Hudson Bates, supporting the athletes in San Salvador are Emma Stratmoen, LOVB LA Orbit Athletic Trainer and Joviana Romero, USA Volleyball Beach NTDP Lead.
