Colorado Springs, Colo. (May 1, 2026) — USA Volleyball is proud to announce the launch of its new official outdoor volleyball, developed in partnership with Molten. Designed for both beach and grass play, the ball represents a significant step forward in performance, durability and consistency across outdoor disciplines.
The new USA Volleyball x Molten Outdoor Volleyball has been engineered to meet the unique demands of outdoor competition. It features enhanced grip, superior flight stability and long-lasting construction suited for varying weather conditions and surfaces. Additionally, the contrasting colors of the design allow players to easily track ball rotation during play.
“This collaboration with Molten represents our continued commitment to innovation and excellence in every discipline of our sport,” said John Speraw, President and CEO of USA Volleyball. “We’re excited to introduce a ball that truly meets the needs of outdoor athletes, whether they’re competing on sand or grass.”
Fans and athletes will get their first look at the ball in elite competition this summer at the 2026 USA Volleyball Beach National Championship, taking place July 13-18 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The ball will also be featured later in the year at the inaugural USA Volleyball Adult Grass National Championship, scheduled for Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in Nashville, Tennessee.
