COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept. 23, 2026) – The USA Volleyball Foundation, the philanthropic arm of USA Volleyball dedicated to improving lives, will host its annual ‘Day of Giving’ on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, coinciding with National Volleyball Day.
The campaign highlights that volleyball is more than a game; it’s a pathway for confidence, leadership and opportunity. Through strategic grants, the foundation supports life-changing programs, like USA Volleyball grant recipient Building Brilliant Futures, which, in partnership with Louisiana State University, introduces young athletes to college environments. This year, the initiative welcomed 64 girls from 13 schools, providing many with their first exposure to a university campus and volleyball.
Contributions raised during ‘Day of Giving’ directly impact critical initiatives, including:
- Strengthening the pipeline by expanding youth-to-elite resources and eliminating financial barriers to high performance training
- Driving program expansion across the U.S., directly supporting collegiate men’s volleyball and opening new athletic pathways
“Volleyball builds community, fosters growth and creates opportunities that transform what athletes believe is possible,” said Wade Garard, USA Volleyball Foundation president. “We are excited to launch this year’s ‘Day of Giving’ campaign, bringing our community together alongside generous donors to expand access and deliver life-changing experiences for athletes nationwide.”
