COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 21, 2026) – USA Volleyball announces the expansion of the annual Men’s Beach Collegiate Challenge with two premier events — one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast — representing the organization’s first coast-to-coast staging of the competition.

Now entering its sixth year, the Men’s Beach Collegiate Challenge provides a competitive opportunity for student-athletes as USA Volleyball continues to foster the expansion of the sport within the men’s collegiate landscape.

“Expanding the Men’s Beach Collegiate Challenge to both coasts reflects the incredible growth we’re seeing in the men’s game and our commitment to creating more high-level opportunities for student-athletes across the country,” said John Speraw, President and CEO of USA Volleyball. “This platform continues to play a vital role in developing the next generation of elite beach players.”

The 2026 edition moves the event to two vibrant beach volleyball hubs – Manhattan Beach, California, and Dania Beach, Florida. The East Coast Challenge moves from Stevenson University in Maryland to the Rita Crockett Beach Sports Academy in Florida, Sept. 25-27, while the West Coast Challenge will be on the south side of the Manhattan Beach Pier, Oct. 9-11.

The East Coast Challenge runs concurrently with the Beach NTDP Fall Training Series, while a women’s beach collegiate championship will be held at the same time as the West Coast Challenge.

The events will both feature a 32-team field of men’s pairs representing their colleges and universities. Athletes do not have to be from the same college to compete as a pair, and each pair is guaranteed three matches in pool play. Following the conclusion of pool play on day two, 24 teams (top three teams from each pool) will advance to the single-elimination bracket phase.

Registration for both events is now open. To register and learn more about eligibility and selection, visit the event web pages:
