COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Aug. 27, 2026) – USA Volleyball has announced the appointment of Carolina “Gabi” Garbato as its new General Manager, USA Beach Volleyball, effective immediately. In this role, Garbato will lead the overall management, performance and continuous evolution of USA Volleyball’s beach program, spanning the senior national teams and the Beach National Team Development Program (BNTDP) to build a world-class, athlete-centered program capable of sustained international success and winning Olympic and World Championship medals.
Since joining USA Volleyball in 2019, Garbato has advanced through key leadership roles, including most recently, director of the Beach National Team Development Program where she led the national scouting network and athlete pathway strategy connecting emerging youth talent directly into the senior national team pipeline. In addition to her leadership roles at USA Volleyball, Garbato holds a doctorate focused on the transition of volleyball Olympians from elite sport into life beyond competition, bringing a whole-person perspective to athlete support, well-being and high-performance leadership.
