USA Volleyball would like to offer its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Tim Vorenkamp, a young volleyball player with an indomitable spirit who died on Jan. 10 after a five-year battle with a rare form of cancer known as Synovial Cell Sarcoma. Tim was 18. The profile below, originally published in the fall 2015 issue of VolleyballUSA, tells the story of Tim’s positive outlook on life, which gave him energy to play the game he loved at an extremely high level.
In the final months of his life, he founded Live For Others Foundation, an organization dedicated to discovering a cure for Synovial Cell Sarcoma.
