COLORADO SPRINGS Colo. (March 30, 2019) – The U.S. women’s snow volleyball team of Karissa Cook, Emily Hartong, Katie Spieler and Allie Wheeler has advanced to the semifinals of the FIVB Tour event in Wagrain, Austria.

The U.S. men’s team of Chase Frishman, Travis Mewhirter, Chris Vaughan and Eric Zaun lost in the quarterfinals and finished tied for fifth.

The U.S. women went 2-0 in pool play on Friday, beating teams from Germany (20-18, 15-11) and Japan (15-11, 15-12).

In Saturday’s quarterfinals, the U.S. beat Lithuania, 15-10, 17-15.

On Sunday, they will play Czech Republic in the semifinals at 12:30 a.m. PT. The FIVB has been live streaming matches on its YouTube channel at youtube.com/user/videoFIVB/videos.

The U.S. men’s team also went 2-0 in pool play, beating teams from Cameroon (15-10, 12-15, 15-11) and Poland (10-15, 16-14, 18-16). In Saturday’s quarterfinals, the U.S. fell to one of three teams from Russia (15-13, 12-15, 15-13).
