Despite suffering its first loss of the season, Long Beach State earns 17 votes by AVCA to stay at No. 1 ahead of undefeated Grand Canyon. A huge shift hits the roundup this week after Ohio State stuns UCLA. The Buckeyes defeated the defending champion Bruins and No. 13 USC at the First Point Challenge in Austin, Texas last week to vault into the number one spot in the rankings. However, The Buckeyes suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of No. 9 Penn State on Thursday night.
