Back at it! The U.S. Women’s Sitting National Team, three-time and reigning Paralympic gold medalists, kicked off the 2025 season (and the LA28 quad) with a pair of intrasquad scrimmages Friday at the Boston Volleyball Festival.

Men’s College Roundup for Feb. 20, 2025

As we near the end of February, the men’s college season and our roundup kick into high gear. Multiple top five matchups a week ago left us with some memorable matches and no change to the roundup order in the eyes of the AVCA across both divisions. This even after a an upset of No. 2 UCI by No. 3 UCLA threatens to shake up the roundup order next week.

Roster Announced for 2025 Women’s National Team Open Program

As the pipeline between USA Volleyball and the NCAA continues to grow, more than 160 collegiate athletes will train at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs on February 21-23 for the U.S. Women’s National Team Open Program.

2025 World University Games Beach Trials Set For Manhattan Beach

Registration is now open for the 2025 World University Games Beach Volleyball Trials, set for May 15-17 in Manhattan Beach, California. The trials determine which collegiate athletes will represent the United States at the FISU Summer World University Games, July 16-27 in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany.

Men’s College Roundup for Feb. 12, 2025

There is no movement in the DI/II polls this week, but we are treated to a couple top five matchups at the DI/II level. Just outside the top five, Loyola Chicago moves up to No. 6 in the AVCA poll with a 10-0 record, ready to officially join the roundup should anyone falter. In Division III, Stevens moves back up a spot to No. 4 ahead of a meeting with No. 1 NYU. We also welcome Carthage to the top five as Juniata gets bounced down to No. 7.

USA Volleyball is proud to host the 2025 ParaVolley Pan America (PVPA) Sitting Volleyball Zonal Championships, May 24-28, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. This premier event will run alongside the 2025 USA Volleyball Open National Championship, bringing high-level sitting volleyball competition to the Mile High City. 

Erik Sullivan Bolsters U.S. Women’s National Team Coaching Staff

A powerhouse trio of coaches—Tayyiba Haneef-Park, Mike Wall and Brandon Taliaferro—will join new head coach Erik Sullivan as assistant coaches to guide the U.S. Women’s National Team on its journey to the LA 2028 Olympics.

Men’s College Roundup for Feb. 5, 2025

Welcome to February where big matchups are on the horizon and a new team joins the top five. USC earns its eighth win and switches with BYU to make its first roundup appearance of 2025. Long Beach, UCI, UCLA and Hawaii all make up the rest of the top five with a marquee meeting coming up on Friday when Long Beach Hosts UCLA. In Division III, big changes to the rankings as NYU takes the top spot, Vassar replaces Stevens at No. 3, and Juniata jumps up to No. 4.

Athletes with NTDP Ties Earn 2024 Gatorade Player of the Year Honors

Twenty-three athletes with ties to USA Volleyball have earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors, including setter Campbell Flynn, who was named the volleyball National Player of the Year.
