A boys volleyball player gets ready to serve on the beach

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept 24, 2024) — More than 50 girls and boys athletes will be in Virginia Beach, Va., on Sept. 28-29 for the 2024 Beach National Team Development Program Fall Training Series.

This is the third time Virginia Beach has hosted an NTDP Training Series event. This season, it’s being held in conjunction with the 50th Annual Virginia Beach Neptune Festival.
The training gives junior and collegiate beach volleyball athletes the chance to practice with and compete against some of the best athletes in the United States while receiving guidance from top coaches.

There are four training sessions in the following age groups: Men’s U20/U19, Boys U17, Women’s U20/U19, Girls U17.

Twenty-one USA Volleyball regions are represented by the Fall Training Series athletes: Arizona, Bayou, Carolina, Chesapeake, Delta, Florida, Garden Empire, Gateway, Great Lakes, Gulf Coast, Heart of America, Hoosier, Keystone, Lone Star, North Texas, Northern California, Ohio Valley, Old Dominion, Palmetto, Puget Sound and Southern California.

Athletes for the Fall Training Series were identified and invited based on recommendations from the Beach NTDP Scouting Network. The scouting network serves as the Beach NTDP talent identification process and includes coaches and experts from across the United States.

All training series are conducted by top Beach NTDP coaches and feature a comprehensive focus on the five pillars of the NTDP: Craft, Mind, Body, Heart and Team.
