COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (December 13, 2024) – Registration is now open for the 2025 USA Volleyball Women’s National Team Open Program at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Feb. 20-23, 2025.
The WNT Open Program is a development opportunity used for potential selection to both the U.S. Women’s National Team and age-group national teams of USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program (NTDP). In 2025, members of the U.S. Women’s National Team will compete in the following events: Volleyball Nations League, Pan American Cup, and NORCECA Final Six.
The 2025 age-group national teams include Women’s U21 (athletes born in 2005 and younger) and Girls U19 (athletes born in 2007 and younger) competing at their respective Pan American Cups and FIVB World Championships. New in 2025, NTDP will organize a Women’s U23 National Team (athletes born in 2003 and younger) that will train and compete at an international event in lieu of the Women’s Collegiate National Team domestic-only training program.
“The Open Program is an excellent development opportunity for young collegiate volleyball athletes to connect with peers, elite coaches and learn about the three growing domestic pro leagues,” NTDP Senior Manager Kris Berzins said. “For USA Volleyball to sustain international success, we continue to endeavor to make the transition from junior to collegiate and collegiate to pro levels as seamless as possible for our top youth and collegiate student-athletes. We look forward to organizing a great program in Colorado Springs this February.”
The Open Program is available to current and recently graduated, college-age athletes born in the years 2001-2007 inclusive. Athletes born outside of this age group may contact Kris Berzins for approval to attend.
The dates and details for age-group national team training and competitions are being finalized and will be announced soon.
