The 2026 USAV Adult Grass National Championship will offer a prize purse of $28,000 to be split and awarded to the top three-finishing teams in each discipline in the Open Division.
Below is the prize purse distribution per gender for each discipline in the Open Division. There will be a match to be played out for third place.
Triples
$3,600 for first/$1,800 for second/$600 for third
Doubles
$1,250 for first/$750 for second/$500 for third
Quads
$1,750 for first/$1,050 for second/$700 for third
Reverse Coed Quads
$1,000 for first/$600 for second; $400 for third
Each affiliated Grass Tour event will be allocated a specified number of bids to award top finishers, based on final placements and the number of teams in each discipline/division.
Open Registration will be available in every division, but teams that earn bids get special championship perks as a reward for their performance over the season.

Divisions
Open, AA, A, BB, B
If a team earns a bid in AA or A, it will be eligible for the AA/A division; same for BB/B
Bid Limitations
A team that qualifies will receive only one bid per event per division to the championship. Bids will not be given to each athlete on the team to register separately.
A team that earns a bid must have a roster for the National Championship that makes up at least 50% of the roster that earned the bid.

The USA Volleyball Grass Tour’s ‘America’s Number 1’ initiative is where the pros will shine and flourish. This program will provide a battle ground for high-stakes competition for those at the highest level within the grass volleyball community, while encouraging consistent play and participation in USAV Grass Tour-affiliated events.
‘America’s Number 1’ will serve as both a symbol of the national governing body’s commitment to growing and showcasing the sport and a tool for motivating continual play. This initiative will tell athletes and fans of the sport who “the best is right now” and provides USAV a built-in story, target and reward structure for this landmark tour.
‘America’s Number 1’ will be decided on the ranking points at the end of the season, following the completion of the USA Volleyball Adult Grass National Championship. Eligible athletes would need to participate in a minimum number of events and compete in the highest division, Open. Points will be accumulated from different discipline-types including triples, doubles, quads, and coed.
Participation in the 2026 USA Volleyball Grass National Championship is required to be eligible.
PRIZE PACK FOR EARNING ‘America’s NUMBER 1’
Ranking Points System
The USAV Grass Tour will launch its own USAV Grass Tour Ranking System. USAV will incorporate this ranking system to build continued excitement and promote participation on the USAV Grass Tour.
By separating the ranking points system from the tournament seeding system, USAV and it’s affiliates of the Grass Tour will be able to promote and encourage a “Trail to the National Championship” without compromising bracket integrity.
A Season-Based Race
The USA Volleyball Grass Tour has a defined, fixed season that is defined from the first stop on tour through the National Championship. The USAVGT Ranking Points System will be based on points accumulated only within the season.
Players will earn points at each sanctioned USAV Grass Tour event they compete in based on their finish within the respective division. Points will reset every season.
Ranking System will be housed on Volleyball Life.
