COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 29, 2025) – Twenty-three athletes with ties to USA Volleyball have earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors, including setter Campbell Flynn, who was named the volleyball National Player of the Year.

The Gatorade Player of the Year is considered one of the most prestigious honors in high school sports. This year, 51 volleyball athletes earned the award for their respective states and the District of Columbia. The national player of the year award is chosen from this pool, with the 2024 honor going to Flynn, a 6-3 setter from Mercy HS in Michigan (Lakeshore Region). She was also the 2023 Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year.

Most recently, Flynn helped the U.S. Women’s U21 National Team win the gold medal at the 2024 NORCECA Continental Championship. In 2023, she played on the U.S. Girls U19 National Team that won gold at the FIVB U19 World Championship, then joined the U.S. Women’s U21 National Team at the FIVB U21 World Championship, finishing sixth.
