Girl playing beach volleyball

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 10, 2023) – It may be mid-winter, but USA Volleyball is thinking summer and announcing that the 2023 U.S. Beach Club Championship will be July 9-11 in Hermosa Beach, Calif.

Now in its second year, the U.S. Beach Club Championship is a joint venture between USA Volleyball and Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP).

The U.S. Beach Club Championship is an innovative tournament that adds competition between clubs to typical age group play.  The format will mimic collegiate style competition. Athletes in each gender compete in their age groups (14s, 16s and 18s), and top finishers in each bracket earn points for their clubs. The girls and boys clubs with the highest point counts at the end of the tournament are crowned winners of the Club Cup.

There will be one division per age group and gender. No qualification is necessary. Female squads in the 18U division will consist of 5 pairs. Male and female 14U and 16U squads will consist of three pairs.

Registration is open now and clubs are limited to two squads per age group until May 1. After May 1, exceptions may be made to allow clubs to enter more squads. Register now at bracketpal.com.

This year, the 16s and 18s age groups will compete July 9-10. The 14s will compete July 10-11. Day 1 will be pool play and all teams will advance to Day 2 and an eight-team, single-elimination bracket. All teams are guaranteed two matches on Day 2.

USA Volleyball will cover the action on social media, including photos and videos all day long on Instagram at @usavbeach and @usavolleyball.
