Bronze Medalists Return for 2023 NORCECA Final 6

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Aug. 19, 2023) – The U.S. Women’s Team that took bronze at the Pan American Cup on August 11 will compete again on August 20-26 at the NORCECA Final Six in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The setters on the team are Jenna Gray and Sydney Hilley. The outside hitters are Logan Eggleston, Simone Lee, Brooke Nuneviller and Sarah Wilhite Parsons.

Parsons is the team captain and Lee was named the First Best Spiker at the Pan American Cup.

The opposites are Taylor Mims and Stephanie Samedy. The middle blockers are Madeleine Gates, Serena Gray, Kayla Haneline and Danielle Hart.

The liberos are Zoe Fleck and Kendall White.

The coaches also remain the same. Brad Rostratter, the men’s volleyball head coach at UC San Diego, will be assisted by Jonathan Charette of the Long Beach Volleyball Club, and Cursty Jackson, a former national team player who is an assistant at the University of Texas.

“We want to continue doing what we did in Puerto Rico, continue to grow as a team and continue to be one of the strongest teams in the area,” Rostratter said. “We are in a good moment and we are going for the victory in this tournament.”

Teams from Canada, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Puerto Rico are also competing.
