Looking Ahead: 2025 Girls Junior Nationals (14-17) Deep in the Heart of Dallas

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 17, 2022) – USA Volleyball has selected Dallas, Texas, to host the 2025 Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC) for the 14-17 age divisions.

The tournament will take place June 25-July 3 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

“We are excited to be returning to Dallas for the 2025 Girls Junior National Championship (14-17),” said USA Volleyball President and CEO Jamie Davis. “Dallas is a vibrant and multicultural city with a wide variety of restaurants and attractions. The city is always happy to host our athletes and their families and fans.”

USA Volleyball is splitting the Girls Junior National Championship beginning in 2023 and having one tournament for the 11-13 age divisions and one for 14-17. This creates more competitive opportunities for athletes and clubs and increases the number of venues that can host.

“Dallas has an extensive event resume with USA Volleyball events,” said Monica Paul, Executive Director of the Dallas Sports Commission. “This announcement shows that our future will continue along that trajectory. It is an honor to partner with USA Volleyball to host the 2025 Girls Junior National Championship (14-17).”

Dallas will also be hosting the 2023 Open National Championship and the 2024 Girls Junior National Championship (11-13).

The GJNC is the United States’ premier junior girls club tournament and attracts college scouts from across the country. There are now seven competitive divisions for each age group in the 14-17 divisions, and the 2025 tournament is expected to draw more than 1,200 teams.

Many of the nation’s top college recruits and members of the U.S. Women’s National Team have competed in this event as a part of their junior careers at the club level, with several going on to compete in the Olympic Games. Among the U.S. Women’s National Team players who have competed at GJNCs are 2020 Olympic gold medalists Micha Hancock, Chiaka Ogbogu and Justine Wong-Orantes.
