Colorado Springs, Colo. (May 3, 2024) – Several USA Volleyball Beach National Team Development Program (NTDP) coaches and athletes are participating this weekend at the 2024 NCAA Beach Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala.
The National Team Development Program is the pinnacle of player development for high-potential volleyball athletes from across the country. NTDP aims to provide top athletes more opportunities to develop within the USA Volleyball National Team system. Several NTDP (or USAV High Performance) athletes who played in recent NCAA Beach Championships are current members of the U.S. Beach National Team or U.S. Beach Development Team, including Sara Hughes (USC), Kelly Cheng (USC), Taryn Kloth (LSU), Kristen Nuss (LSU), Hailey Harward (USC), Julia Scoles (USC), Toni Rodriguez (LSU), Savvy Simo (UCLA), Abby Van Winkle (UCLA) Megan Kraft (USC), Kylie DeBerg (LSU), Alaina Chacon (Florida State) and Mariah Whalen (Cal Poly).

he UCLA and Long Beach State men’s volleyball teams each won five-set, roller-coaster matches on Thursday to advance from the semifinals of the NCAA Men’s Volleyball Championship at the Pyramid at Long Beach State.
For the first time, the Men's NCAA Volleyball Tournament has been expanded to an eight-team format. All schools have their place in the bracket set with opening matches beginning Tuesday, April 30. The week-long sprint for the trophy concludes with the championship match on Saturday, May 4. All matches will be held at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California and streamed on NCAA.com.
