Registration Open for Beach U21 World Championship Trials

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 26, 2025) – USA Volleyball is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the 2025 Beach U21 World Championship Trials in Hermosa Beach, California, June 16-19, 2025. This highly competitive event will gather the nation’s top young beach volleyball athletes as they vie for a coveted spot on the Beach U21 National Team and the opportunity to represent the United States at the 2025 FIVB U21 World Championships in Kachreti, Georgia, Sept. 16-21. 

The competition will kick off with a qualifier on June 16, followed by the main draw on June 17-19.

“It’s such a prestigious opportunity to represent the USA at the FIVB Beach U21 World Championship, and I expect the trials to be very competitive,” said Olympic gold medalist April Ross. “Whether athletes make the World Championship team or not, the trials will be a worthwhile event and a chance to compete against the best athletes in the age group. I look forward to watching, scouting for new talent, and training some of the athletes post-trials to prepare for worlds.” 

The Beach U21 National Team has a star-studded coaching staff leading the team at Worlds. Ross, who who will lead the men’s team, is a three-time Olympic medalist and the current beach coach at El Camino College. Coaching the women’s team is Angie Akers, who coached Ross and Alix Klineman to the 2020 Olympic gold medal. She is currently the assistant women’s beach coach at Texas. Both Ross and Akers bring unmatched expertise, and athletes who make the team will have the unique opportunity to train under their leadership in preparation for the World Championships. 

Participation in the U21 Trials requires adherence to USA Volleyball and FIVB eligibility criteria. All eligibility requirements are available on the registration page. Regular registration closes May 19.
