The U.S. Beach National Team opened the 2022 Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour this weekend as five pairs reached the playoff round of the Tlaxcala Challenge.
The 2022 international beach volleyball season opens this weekend with the Tlaxcala Challenge, the first event of the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour. Twelve American teams will compete in Tlaxcala.
Beach NTDP will conduct three trials in June for various Beach age-group national teams. All three trials will provide the winners the opportunity for international play later this year.

The inaugural Salt Lake City Showdown Qualifier begins this weekend (March 5-7) and continues next weekend (March 11-13) at the Salt Palace Convention Center. Utah is part of USA Volleyball’s Intermountain Region.

Dunphy will become the 52nd winner of the Harold T. Friermood “Frier” Award, which recognizes longtime significant contributions to volleyball, at the USA Volleyball Hall of Fame ceremony at the Dorothy C. Boyce Banquet on May 25 in Orlando, Fla. The Frier Award is considered USA Volleyball’s highest honor.
More than 200 women’s volleyball players are expected to converge on the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs on Feb. 25-27 for the USAV Women’s National Team Open Program.
