All members — athletes, coaches, chaperones, team representatives, and club directors — must register with USA Volleyball through SportsEngine to participate in any SCSN activity. Each club maintains a SportsEngine account to manage its staff, coaches, and athletes. Questions: [email protected].
Important deadline. Per USA Volleyball insurance regulations, all club registration requirements — including completed background screenings — must be finalized at least four weeks before the club’s first tournament.
- All adults must pass a USAV background screening (valid one season; standard up to one week, international up to four).
- Coaches also submit a Code of Ethics and complete SafeSport and IMPACT certification.
- A valid photo ID must be available courtside for roster verification.
- Complete a 2026–2027 individual membership and submit a Letter of Commitment.
- Clubs keep medical release forms on file (do not send to SCSN; request a form from Annie Griggs).
- Keep a photo ID courtside — uploaded to SportsEngine, or a state- or school-issued ID.
- 18U athletes — and anyone turning 18 on or before Aug. 31, 2027 — must complete SafeSport; minors need the parental-consent waiver in SportsEngine.
- Only members within SCSN geographic boundaries may register with the region.
- Clubs with outstanding balances cannot register until paid in full.
To apply, email [email protected]. Clubs must meet all requirements below.

Registered members are covered by USA Volleyball’s sport accident policy. Liability coverage does not protect a club or its administrators during practices, tournaments, or tryouts unless every participating member is fully registered. Injuries during a tournament require an Incident Report Form returned to the SCSN office.
COIs naming facilities as additional insureds are available from USA Volleyball, typically within three to four weeks. Submit requests in writing with the club name and all facility names and addresses to [email protected].
USAV insurance applies only to sanctioned activities — it is not in force for independent camps or clinics.
At tryouts, athletes should show proof of 2025–2026 membership; those without one may purchase a tryout membership and upgrade later.
The 2026–2027 schedule is posted on the SCSN website. Entries are completed through SportWrench, with all fees paid online by the published deadline before a team is accepted. Full participation is required — teams may not play only one day of a multi-day event.
- Entry deadline: Friday, eight days before the tournament.
- No teams added after Tuesday 8:00 PM (four days prior). No exceptions.
- To drop, notify the SCSN office by Tuesday 8:00 PM; after that, contact Girls Director / Event Coordinator Ki Yi.
- 50% refund for drops after the entry deadline but before the event posts on SportWrench.
- No refunds once the event posts (Tuesday of event week).
- Site and time confirmations post on SportWrench during event week — check sites the Friday before and notify your coaches and families.
Once an athlete participates in any college program — practicing, training, attending workouts, or competing — they become ineligible for regional or national junior programming, including Junior National Championship qualifying and championship events. The only exceptions are those listed beneath the official Age Definition Chart; no additional age waivers will be granted.
The official 2026–2027 USA Volleyball Age Definition Chart will be posted here (coming soon). These domestic club definitions differ from those used for International and Domestic National Team Development Programs.
