U.S. Men's Sitting National Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 2, 2022) – The U.S. Men’s Sitting Team has announced the 12 players who will compete at the 2022 World ParaVolley World Championships on Nov. 4-11 in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

All 12 have previous World Championship experience.

Roderick Green will serve as team captain. The rest of the team includes Ben Aman, Nicholas Dadgostar, Eric Duda, John Kremer, Dan Regan, Travis Ricks, Chris Seilkop, James Stuck, Samuel Surowiec, Zach Upp and Patrick Young.

The U.S. prepared for the tournament with a series of training camps and scrimmages with Canada’s men’s sitting team.

“I’m excited that we had some really good training with Canada,” U.S. Head Coach Greg Walker said. “We were able to work out how we wanted to be systematically.

“Our ball handling has gotten a lot better. We have fewer errors, which was nice against Canada. We’re managing the ball a little better.”

There are 16 teams scheduled to compete at the World Championship, broken into four pools of four. The U.S. Men will share their pool with host Bosnia & Herzegovina, Japan and Serbia.

Other teams scheduled to compete are Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Poland, Rwanda and Ukraine.

The U.S. Men went 2-4 at the Dutch Tournament earlier this year and are ranked 10th in the world and seeded eighth at the World Championship.

Matches are scheduled to be live streamed on the World ParaVolley Facebook Page and the World ParaVolley YouTube Channel.
