COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 12, 2021) – The FIVB announced the pool play schedule for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 beach volleyball event Monday.
Pool play in Tokyo will run from Saturday, July 24 to Saturday, July 31. Phil Dalhausser/Nick Lucena will be the first U.S. pair to play (Saturday, July 24 at 5 a.m. PT), and Kelly Claes/Sarah Sponcil will conclude the U.S. pool play schedule (Friday, July 30 at 5 p.m. PT). The knockout rounds begin Sunday, August 1. Women’s medal matches will take place Friday, August 6, and the men’s Saturday, August 7.
NBC has yet to release the broadcast schedule, but eight of Team USA’s 12 matches will be played during prime time on the East Coast, including all of Claes/Sponcil’s and Alix Klineman/April Ross’ contests. Each match will also be streamed at nbcolympics.com.
