COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 3, 2024) – Several U.S. Women’s National Team members hit the floor this week with teams in the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF).

According to the PVF, more than 200,000 total viewers caught the action for the first three League matches.

The competition continues this week as Atlanta opens its home slate with the San Diego Mojo on Thursday, Feb. 1, followed by San Diego then traveling to Omaha on Saturday, Feb. 3. Fans can find both of those matches via broadcasts on the Pro Volleyball Federation YouTube Channel.

PRO VOLLEYBALL FEDERATION

In the first ever PVF match, the visiting Atlanta Vibe beat the Omaha Supernovas, 3-2 (26-24, 25-23, 17-25, 19-25, 15-13) on Jan. 24. For the Vibe, libero Morgan Hentz was credited with 20 receptions: 60 percent positive. Setter Tori Stringer scored three points on two kills and a block.

For the Supernovas, outside hitter Brooke Nuneviller scored 16 points on 16 kills. Middle blocker Danielle Hart also scored 16 points on 13 kills and three blocks. Setter Sydney Hilley scored two points on two kills. Libero Kendall White was credited with 28 receptions: 54 percent positive.

Former U.S. National Team middle Tori Dixon scored 14 points on nine kills, four blocks and one ace. Opposite Nia Reed played as a substitute and scored two points on two kills.

On Jan. 25, the host Grand Rapids Rise defeated the Columbus Fury, 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-19). For the Rise, setter Ashley Evans scored two points on a block and an ace. She set the team to a .303 hitting efficiency. Olympic beach player Sarah Sponcil played libero and was credited with 20 receptions, 40 percent positive.

For the Fury, middle Asjia O’Neal did not play as she recovers from injury.

On Jan. 26, the visiting Atlanta Vibe beat the Orlando Valkyries, 3-2 (20-25, 27-25, 27-25, 16-25, 15-12). Hentz was credited with 22 receptions, 36 percent positive. Stringer started the first two sets and scored one point with a kill.

CEV CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

In the Champions League playoffs for the quarterfinals, Türkiye’s visiting VakifBank with outside hitter Ali Frantti, middle blocker Chiaka Ogbogu and opposite Jordan Thompson beat Poland’s PGE Rysice Rzeszow 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 28-26) on Jan. 30.

Frantti led her teams with 18 points on 15 kills and a match-high three aces. Thompson totaled 12 points on 12 kills. Ogbogu also had 12 points on a match-high seven blocks and five kills.

The two teams will play again on Feb. 8 in Türkiye.

In Germany, host Allianz MTV Stuttgart and middle Kayla Haneline beat SC Potsdam and libero Justine Wong-Orantes, 3-0 (25-18, 27-25, 25-19) on Feb. 1.

Haneline scored nine points on six kills, two blocks and one ace. U.S. outside hitter Krystal Rivers led Stuttgart with 17 points on 15 kills and two blocks and was named match MVP.  For Potsdam, Wong-Orantes was credited with five receptions, 80 percent positive. U.S. middle Breland Morrissette scored five points on four kills and one block. Opposite Danielle Harbin started the first set and scored two points on two kills.

The two teams will play again on Feb. 7 in Potsdam.

CEV CUP

In the quarterfinals of the CEV Cup, Italy’s visiting Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76 with outside hitters Avery Skinner and Madi Kingdon Rishel beat France’s Volero Le Cannet, 3-2 (22-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-13) on Jan. 31.

Skinner scored 15 points on 12 kills and three aces. Kingdon Rishel scored nine points on six kills and three aces. The two teams will play again on Feb. 7 in Italy.

CEV CHALLENGE CUP

Opposite Taylor Mims and France’s host Neptunes de Nantes won their first semifinal match over Türkiye’s Nilüfer Belediye Bursa, 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-17) on Jan. 31. Mims led her team with 14 points on 13 kills and one block. U.S. middle Jaelyn Keene added 11 points on six kills and a match-high five aces.

The teams will play each other again on Feb. 7 in Türkiye.

ITALY

Prosseco Doc Imoco Conegliano (18-0) with Kelsey (Robinson) Cook, Khalia Lanier, Kathryn Plummer and Madi Bugg remained undefeated after beating middle Haleigh Washington and Savino Del Bene Scandicci (14-4), 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-17) on Jan. 27.

Cook scored 11 points on 11 kills. Plummer scored 11 points on eight kills, one block and two aces. Lanier and Bugg did not play, and Washington did not play for Scandicci.

Middle Dana Rettke, outside hitter Kara Bajema and Allianz Vero Volley Milano (17-1) beat Volley Bergamo 1991, 3-1 (25-19, 23-25, 25-20, 25-19) on Jan. 28. Rettke scored 13 points on nine kills, two blocks and two aces. Bajema started the final two sets and scored 11 points on seven kills and four blocks.

Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76 (10-8) with Avery Skinner and Madi Kingdon Rishel beat Megabox Ond. Savio Vallefoglia, 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-17) on Jan. 28. Kingdon Rishel scored six points on five kills and one ace. Skinner did not play.

Trasportipesanti Casalmaggiore (4-13) with setter Micha Hancock and outside hitter Simone Lee beat Honda Olivero S.Bernardo Cuneo (5-13) with middle Anna Hall and outside hitter Madi Kubik, 3-1 (25-21, 25-22, 20-25, 25-20) on Jan. 28.

Lee scored 17 points on 15 kills, one block and one ace. Hancock scored three points on two kills and an ace and set the team to a .344 hitting efficiency. Hall scored 11 points on seven kills, two blocks and two aces. Kubik played as a substitute and scored one point with a kill.

TÜRKIYE

VakifBank (16-1) with Ali Frantti, Chiaka Ogbogu and Jordan Thompson beat Opposite Stephanie Samedy and Muratpaşa Bld. Sigorta Shop (9-9), 3-0 (27-25, 25-20, 26-24) on Jan. 24. Thompson led all scorers with 17 points on 13 kills, two blocks and two aces. Ogbogu added nine points on six kills, two blocks and one ace. Frantti played as a substitute and scored one point with a kill.

Samedy led her team with 16 points on 13 kills, two blocks and one ace. U.S. outside hitter Micaya White added 14 points on 11 kills and three blocks.

On Jan. 28, Muratpaşa Bld. Sigorta Shop beat PTT, 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-18). Samedy scored eight points on eight kills. White scored 10 points on seven kills and three blocks.

Setter Lauren Carlini and Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor (6-12) beat outside hitter Sarah Wilhite Parsons and Kuzeyboru (10-8), 3-1 (25-17, 17-25, 25-23, 25-23) on Jan. 24. Carlini scored one point with a kill and set her team to a .383 hitting efficiency. Wilhite Parsons led all scorers with 26 points on 21 kills, a match-high four aces and one block.

On Jan. 28, Carlini and Aydın beat Karayollari, 3-2 (21-25, 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 15-13). Carlini scored two points on a kill and a block and set Aydin to a .399 hitting efficiency.

Wilhite Parsons and Kuzeyboru fell to Eczacıbaşı Dynavit, 3-0 (25-20, 28-26, 25-16) on Jan. 28. Wilhite Parsons finished with 10 points on eight kills and two blocks.

Galatasaray Daikin (9-9) with outside hitter Logan Eggleston and opposite Danielle Cuttino swept PTT (25-14, 25-18, 25-19) on Jan. 24. Eggleston led all scorers with 19 points on 15 kills, two blocks and two aces. Cuttino was right behind with 18 points on 15 kills, two blocks and one ace.

On Jan. 28, Daikin fell to Turk Hava Yollari, 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-16). Eggleston led her team with 14 points on 12 kills, one block and one ace. Cuttino added 10 points on nine kills and one ace.

JAPAN

Opposite Annie Drews and JT Marvelous (18-0) beat Hisamitsu Springs on Jan. 27, 3-1 (25-22, 27-25, 22-25, 25-16). Drews scored 19 points on 17 kills, one block and one ace.

On Jan. 28, JT Marvelous beat the Denson Airybees, 3-2 (25-19. 25-19. 19-25, 21-25, 15-11). Drews scored 15 points on 13 kills and two blocks.

GERMANY

SC Potsdam (11-7) and Justine Wong-Orantes beat Rote Raben Vilsbiburg, 3-2 (25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 22-25, 15-4) on Jan. 24. Wong-Orantes was credited with 11 receptions, 55 percent positive. Morrissette scored 10 points on six kills, three blocks and one ace. Harbin started the first four sets and scored eight points on eight kills.

On Jan. 27, Potsdam fell to Suhl, 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-20). Wong-Orantes had 11 reception, 27 percent positive. Harbin scored eight points on eight kills. Breland had three points on two blocks and a kill.

Kayla Haneline and Allianz MTV Stuttgart (16-1) beat Ladies in Black Aachen on Jan. 24, 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-20). Haneline scored nine points on seven kills, one block and one ace. U.S. outside hitter Alexis Hart scored 13 points on 12 kills and one ace.

On Jan. 27, Stuttgart defeated SSC Palmberg Schwerin, 3-2 (25-22, 21-25, 23-25, 25-17, 15-13). Haneline started the finals set and scored six points on three kills, one block and two aces. Krystal Rivers led her team with 24 points on 23 kills and one ace.

Libero Zoe Fleck and USC Münster (5-12) fell to VC Wiesbaden 3-1 (23-25, 25-19, 25-16, 27-25). Fleck was credited with 16 receptions, 38 percent positive. U.S. opposite Gloria Mutiri started the first two sets and scored three points on three kills. Setter Jenna Ewert scored two points with two kills and set her team to a .311 hitting efficiency.

For Wiesbaden, U.S. outside hitter Jaidyn Blanchfield scored 15 points on 11 kills, three blocks and one ace. Middle Rachel Anderson added 14 points on 12 kills and two blocks.

On Jan. 27, Münster beat Neuwied 3-0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-16). Fleck was credited with 23 receptions, 52 percent positive. Multiri scored seven points on seven kills. Ewert added six points on five kills and an ace. She set Münster to a .402 hitting efficiency.

BRAZIL

Outside hitter Roni Jones Perry and SESC RJ Flamengo (13-1) beat Barueri Volleyball Club 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-15) on Jan. 26. Jones Perry scored 14 points on 10 kills and a match-high four aces.

On Feb. 1, Flamengo beat Esporte Clube Pinheiros, 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-19). Perry led all scorers with 20 points on 17 kills and three aces.

Middle Brionne Butler and Osasco Sao Cristovao Saude (10-3) beat Unilife Volei Maringa, 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 25-19) on Jan. 25. Butler scored 10 points on six kills, two blocks and two aces. U.S. middle Callie Schwarzenbach scored eight points on five kills and three blocks.

Setter Jenna Gray and Gerdau Minas (9-3) fell to Brailia Volei, 3-2 (25-27, 25-20, 25-18, 22-25, 15-11) on Jan. 25. Gray scored two points on two blocks and set the team to a .354 hitting efficiency.

On Feb. 1, Gerdau Minas beat Unilife Volei Maringa, 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-16). Gray scored two points on two kills and set Gerdau Minas to a .375 hitting efficiency.
