COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Aug. 14, 2023) – Five players will make their debuts with the U.S. Men’s National Team this week at the NORCECA Pan American Cup on Aug. 15-20 at the Astros Arena in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Setter Cole Bogner, liberos Troy Gooch and Tim McIntosh and middle blockers Matthew Knigge and Michael Marshman are all on their first travel roster for the U.S. Men.
Joining them on the roster are setter Quinn Isaacson, outside hitters Ethan Champlin, Kyle McCauley, Jacob Pasteur and Brett Wildman, opposites Camden Gianni and Parker Van Buren and middle blockers Patrick Gasman and Merrick McHenry.
Six players return from the 2022 Pan American Cup team that captured the bronze medal: Gasman, Isaacson, McCauley, McHenry, Pasteur and Wildman.
Champlin, Isaacson, McCauley, McHenry, Van Buren and Wildman were on the team that took bronze at the 2022 Pan American Cup Final Six.
Andy Read will be the team’s head coach with assistance from Angel Nikolov and Samuel Stafford.
Ten teams are competing in this year’s Pan American Cup. The United States shares Pool A with Puerto Rico and Chile. Brazil, Dominican Republic and Canada are in Group B. Group C is composed of Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru.
The U.S. Men have won the Pan American Cup five times, most recently in 2012. Cuba won the last two editions in 2022 and 2019.
