COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 20, 2026) — The U.S. Men’s Sitting National Team stayed undefeated at the 2026 Dutch Tournament in Assen, Netherlands, with two more wins on Saturday. The U.S. defeated Italy, 3-0 (26-24, 25-23, 25-17) and finished the day with a come-from-behind 3-2 (25-14, 22-25, 22-25, 25-23 ,15-7) victory over Poland.

U.S. vs. Italy

MATCH STATISTICS

The U.S. held slight advantages in kills (33-28) and blocks (9-6), while both teams served seven aces.

Eight U.S. players scored at least four points with Jason Roberts posting a team-high nine points with six kills, two blocks and an ace. James Stuck led the team with three blocks to go with three kills and an ace for seven points. Outside hitter Eric Duda shared team-high honors with Roberts with six kills.

Four players each scored five points: Dan Regan (match-high three aces and two kills), Alex Wilson (three kills, two blocks), outside Robbie Onusko (five kills) and middle blocker Roderick Green (five kills). Fabricio added three kills and an ace for four points.

The U.S. took its first lead at 7-6 in the opening set and built a 12-9 lead before Italy used a 5-1 run to retake the lead. A great dig by Travis Ricks led to a Regan kill to tie the set on the net point and the U.S. scored the next five points behind the blocking of Stuck, including back-to-back blocks for a 19-14 advantage. An ace capped a four-point streak for Italy that cut the deficit back to one point. An Onusko kill and Regan ace gave the U.S. a 22-19 lead before Italy scored three consecutive points to even the set again. Green gave the U.S. 23-22 and 24-23 leads, but Italy saved set point each time. Duda scored off the block and a hitting error gave the U.S. the set.

Neither team could gain a large advantage in the second set. Stuck gave the U.S. a 22-21 lead and after Italy tied the score again, Duda put the U.S. back ahead and Roberts took advantage of an overpass for a 24-22 lead. Italy saved one set point before Fabricio scored to give the U.S. a two-set advantage.

The U.S. scored the first two points of the third set and never trailed. Wilson scored to give the U.S. a five-point lead, 12-7. Fabricio delivered back-to-back kills to expand the margin to eight points, 18-10. Italy was unable to make a late run and Roberts finished the match with a kill.

U.S. vs. Poland

The U.S. finished with a 55-43 advantage in kills, 12-9 in service aces and 14-13 in blocks.

Outside hitter Zach Upp led all players with 26 points, 19 kills and five aces while adding a pair of blocks. Duda also reached double digits in kills with 10, adding two aces and a team-best five blocks. Green finished with 13 points on eight kills, four blocks and an ace.

Fabricio totaled eight points on five kills, two blocks and an ace. Ben Aman scored seven points on six kills and an ace, while Stuck added six points on four kills, ace and a block. Roberts contributed three kills.

The U.S. scored the first four points of the match and extended the lead to double digits at 16-6. The lead reached 12 points, 21-9. Poland scored four of the next six points to bring the deficit back to single digits before the U.S. took the set by winning the final two points.

Poland took an early lead in the second set, building a four-point lead, 15-11. The U.S. took its first lead, 17-16, on an Upp ace. An Upp kill extended the lead to two points, 20-18, but Poland scored seven of the final nine points to even the match at one set each.

The U.S. took a 6-4 lead in the third set, but Poland used an 11-2 lead to move ahead 15-8 on its way to taking the lead in the match. The lead grew to eight points, 18-10, before a valiant U.S. comeback, using a 7-1 run to pull within two points, 19-17. Green scored on a second ball off the block to pull the U.S. within 23-21, but the U.S. could get no closer than two points.

Poland used a 7-2 run to take a 15-10 lead in the fourth set. The U.S. battled back by scoring the next five points to even the set. The score was tied at 19 when Poland scored three consecutive points to pull within three points of winning the match. A Duda block capped a three-point stretch by the U.S. to tie the set at 22 apiece. After the teams split the next two points, Fabricio and Green recorded kills to give the U.S. the set and send the match to a fifth set.

Fabricio scored three points in a row with a kill, a block, and another kill on an overpass for a 4-2 U.S. lead in the fifth set. Green scored on the next two plays for a 6-2 advantage. An Upp kill and a Poland hitting error put the U.S. up 8-4 when the teams switched sides. Poland pulled within two points, 8-6, before Upp delivered another kill to start a 5-0 run and a 13-6 lead. The U.S. scored two of the final three points to complete the comeback win.
