Updates on U.S. women's volleyball players competing around the world
The U.S. Women’s National Team will play on U.S. soil for the first time since winning the Olympic gold medal in Tokyo when it competes in the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) on May 31-June 5 at Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, Louisiana.
USA Volleyball has hired University of San Diego Women’s Volleyball Associate Head Coach Alfred “Alfee” Reft to serve as its seasonal assistant coach for the U.S. Women’s National Team. Reft played libero for the U.S. Men’s National Team from 2006-10 and was an Olympic alternate in 2008. He returned to the team in 2012-15. Reft served as a volunteer assistant coach for both the U.S. Women’s and Men’s teams in 2016-18.
