The U.S. Women's Sitting National Team fell to a familiar foe in the first match of the Paris Paralympics, 3-1 (21-25, 25-21, 25-18, 26-24) to three-time Paralympic champion China. The teams met in the gold medal match in Rio and Tokyo with the U.S. earning the gold each time.

There are no changes in the DIII rankings as we conclude another week and move one step closer to the postseason. Long Beach State is back on top in this week’s college roundup. The Beach retakes the top place after unseating No. 1 Hawaii with a 3-2 win last Saturday at Walter Pyramid. Long Beach Received 23 first place votes in the latest AVCA poll.
Major changes hit the men's volleyball college roundup as we finish off the second full week of March. Down goes former No. 1 GCU, who had its undefeated streak snapped with two ranked losses in the Outrigger Invitational. This result moves the Rainbow Warriors up to the No. 1 slot in this week’s rankings.
In this week's update, setter Micah Ma’a and Halkbank are still undefeated in Türkiye. Outside hitter T.J. DeFalco and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów look strong in Poland. Thomas Jaeschke and the Panasonic Panthers lead the league in Japan.
No change to the roundup this week as the top-5 stays the same across both divisions. Grand Canyon is on top for another week in DI/II, earning 21 AVCA votes to remain No. 1. In DIII, Wentworth earned 20 votes to stay ahead of Stevens and Southern Virginia.
Matt Anderson and Türkiye’s Ziraat Bankkart Ankara have advanced to the semifinals of the CEV Champions League. TJ DeFalco and Poland’s Asseco Resovia Rzeszów will play Matthew Knigge and Germany’s SVG Lüneburg in the finals of the CEV Cup. Taylor Averill and Poland’s Projekt Warszawa won the CEV Challenge Cup.
Welcome to March and the first roundup of the new month where we fittingly also have a new No. 1. The 13-0 GCU Lopes are atop the rankings, unseating Long Beach State who held the title since the beginning of February. DIII has a shift as well at the bottom of the list. Loras flip-flops with Cal Lutheran, bumping them out of the top-5 to start the month.

A huge shift hits the roundup this week after Ohio State stuns UCLA. The Buckeyes defeated the defending champion Bruins and No. 13 USC at the First Point Challenge in Austin, Texas last week to vault into the number one spot in the rankings. However, The Buckeyes suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of No. 9 Penn State on Thursday night.
