The U.S. beach team of Miles Partain and Andy Benesh put in a strong effort but fell short in their debut match of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games to Alayo/Diaz of Cuba 2-0 (21-18, 21-18).
Four pairs – two women’s, two men’s – will represent the U.S. at the beach volleyball event taking place at Eiffel Tower Stadium for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. All but one of the U.S. athletes (Kelly Cheng) are first-time Olympians. Cheng tied for ninth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with Sarah Sponcil.
While there are some new Olympians on the U.S. Men's roster for the Olympic Games in Paris, the majority of the team has spent the last decade training and competing together, and a few even longer.
