USA Volleyball’s Beach National Team Development Program (NTDP) has a big lineup of 2024 events across the country for collegiate athletes

For the third straight week, the college roundup has a new No. 1. Long Beach State earns 23 votes in the latest AVCA poll and is now top of the pack as one of the few remaining unbeaten teams in DI/II. In DIII, Wentworth remains atop the list for another week, while Cal Lutheran and Southern Virginia flip-flop at No. 3 and 4. The USA Volleyball National Team Development Program (NTDP) has a big season planned for indoor volleyball athletes. From Training Series to age-group national teams, 2024 will be another big year for Indoor NTDP.

The Buckeyes defeated the defending champion Bruins and No. 13 USC at the First Point Challenge in Austin, Texas last week to vault into the number one spot in the rankings. However, The Buckeyes suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of No. 9 Penn State on Thursday night.

More than 250 indoor athletes and more than 100 beach athletes are set to learn at the USA Volleyball National Team Development Program’s (NTDP) Winter Training Series on Dec. 27-30 in Southern California

Players and coaches from all four of the teams in the NCAA D1 Women’s Volleyball National Championship semifinals have ties to USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) and even to its national teams.

USA Volleyball coaches and staff will be presenting eight sessions at the AVCA Convention this week in Tampa. Plus, the USA Volleyball Show podcast team will also be on site, so look for them interviewing special guests throughout the week!

As the 2023 beach volleyball competition season winds down, we crown a new Beach Pro Tour Champion at the conclusion of the BPT Finals over the weekend. Plus, the U.S. is coming home with two medals from NORCECA San Salvador after positive showings from all four competing teams. We also preview two more NORCECA competitions that are set to conclude this year’s events.

Registration is now open for the 2024 USA Volleyball Women’s National Team Open Program, scheduled for Feb. 23-25 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs

The U.S. U23 Beach National Team is set to compete at the 2023 NORCECA U23 Beach Championship in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic. The tournament runs from Dec. 11-15 and will feature four U.S. pairs for both the men's and women's tournaments.

In this week's beach update, we look to BPT Challenge Chiang Mai that will feature several U.S. Beach National Teams. This comes after U.S. pairs competed in NORCECA Playoff 4 in in Manhattan Beach this past weekend to earn Olympic points. We also have results from the U.S. pairs who were competing at the U21 Beach World Championships, and we check in on the most current Olympic rankings.

Four U.S. beach teams are set to compete at the FIVB Under-21 World Championships Nov. 6 – Nov. 12 in Roi Et, Thailand. The event begins on Tuesday with a 24-team qualifier for each gender. Once the qualifying phase is concluded, 32 teams will then be featured in the main draw from Wednesday through the end of the competition when the 2023 U21 world champions are crowned. The U.S. is sending two teams for each gender.
