LOOKING TO GET IMPACT CERTIFIED!!!
If you need to get certified before the Junior Nationals---Boy's or Girls---and there are no IMPACT classes to be found, no more IMPACT webinars as the last chance, then follow the below steps.
- Take the NFHS Volleyball Specific course
- When finished with the NFHS Volleyball course then contact CAP@usav.org
- Let us know that you completed the NFHS Volleyball Specific course
- Education Department will then set up an IMPACT test for you to complete.
- Education Dept will also provide you a link to order an IMPACT manual.
- When the IMPACT online test is completed and Education Dept. is at work then we will send you a .pdf certificate in an email and also update your Webpoint Databse record with IMPACT certification.
- You probably are asking how long does it take to complete. You can easily complete the certification in one (1) day. The NFHS course can take 2.5 hrs. The IMPACT test can take 30 min. - 2 hrs. And the certification will also depend on when the office is open and able to provide you the necessary links and information.
There are also other options of completing your IMPACT CERTIFICATION below:
USA Volleyball currently has a minimum level coach education requirement in order to coach a USAV Junior Volleyball program. Completion of a USAV IMPACT course or IMPACT Clinic Webinar meets this prerequisite. Please note that Regional Volleyball Associations may have more stringent requirements to coach at this or any level. USA Coaching Accreditation Program Levels I-IV (CAP) will also satisfy this coaching certification requirement. With proper documentation submitted to the National Office, the following training programs plus purchase of the most recent IMPACT Manual from the National Office with online test completion, will also meet the USAV IMPACT requirement to coach Junior Club teams: USVBA Levels I & II, FIVB Levels I-III, Canadian Volleyball Association Levels I-IV, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Volleyball online course, American Sport Effectiveness Program (ASEP) “Principles of Coaching”, National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA), and PACE, as well as a teaching degree in Sport or Physical Education. Contact your Commissioner or the USAV Coaching Education office in Colorado Springs for more information on this requirement.
